1. Niagara Falls
The world-famous Niagara Falls are located on the outskirts of the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, on the Niagara River. Across the river is Niagara Falls, New York. As the largest waterfall in North America, the falls are a top tourist destination for both Canadians and Americans. There are many hotels and shopping areas near the falls, and in the nearby village of Niagara-on-the-Lake, enjoy small-town charm and Canadian history amidst Canada’s oldest and largest wine region.

2. Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island (PEI) is one of Canada’s Maritime Provinces. This amazing province consists of the main island, and some smaller islands. PEI is beautiful, known for its red-earth cliffs and many seaside views. Music is a large part of island culture, so you’re likely to hear lots of live music in Charlottetown, its capital, and in smaller communities around the island. There are beautiful beaches and many historical buildings located here. PEI is also where the famous novel “Anne of Green Gables” was set.
3. Banff National Park
Located in the Rocky Mountains in the province of Alberta. Banff is Canada’s oldest national park. This park, often acclaimed as one of the most beautiful places in Canada, is 6,641 square kilometres, with landscapes including mountains, glaciers, forests, and alpine landscapes. Banff is a very popular travel destination. There are many different types of animals located in this area as well, such as the grizzly, cougar, wolverine, elk, bighorn sheep and moose. There are many things to do in this park, like biking, hiking, going to the hot springs, visiting the Vermilion Lakes, and so much more!
4. Yukon
Yukon is the smallest territory in Canada. The Yukon is part of Northern Canada and has very cold temperatures. The temperature has dropped down to -60°C (-76°F)! All though it’s cold there are many things to do here. You can explore the outdoors. There are many land and water activities.One of the best things about the Yukon is that this is one of the best place to view the northern lights!
5. Peggy’s Cove
Peggy’s Cove is located in the eastern Canadian province of Nova Scotia. It is famous for its amazing views and historical lighthouse (Peggy’s Point Lighthouse). This lighthouse was built in 1915! The community here was previously based on fishing, but now Peggy’s Cove is a very popular tourist destination. While in the area, be sure to try some of the local seafood.
6. Jasper National Park
Like Banff, Jasper National Park is located in the Canadian Rockies and has 10,878 square kilometres of mountain wilderness. This park is located in Alberta, Canada, along its western border with British Columbia. Jasper is the largest national park in the Rockies. You can go hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding in this area! Skiing is also a very popular activity in Jasper National Park in the winter.
7. Churchill
Churchill is a town in the province of Manitoba, located on the Hudson Bay. This location is famous for the polar bears that live around this area! In the summer, you can also see beluga whales here. Like in Yukon, in Churchill, you are able to see the Northern Lights. This area of Canada can be very cold! So if you ever decide to visit Churchill, dress warmly.
8. Quebec City
The historic Quebec City is located in the province of Quebec. Quebec is a mainly French-speaking province and Quebec City is Canada’s 10th largest city! This city is filled with amazing architecture, including part of its downtown, which is Canada’s only remaining walled city. It’s a very walkable city, but you can also take bus, bike and horse drawn-carriage tours to explore. You can also take boat and plane tours to see this beautiful city from a different view!
9. Avalon Peninsula
The Avalon Peninsula is a popular place to see icebergs in Newfoundland and Labrador. You can view the 10,000 year old iceberg from multiple points on the coast. Half of Newfoundland’s population live in the Avalon Peninsula. There are tourism spots for you to shop and experience the Avalon Peninsula area.
10. Tobermory
Tobermory is a small city in Ontario in the Bruce Peninsula area. It’s a popular tourist destination, known for Flowerpot Island, which has large aquatic rock formations that look like flowerpots! You can take a boat tour to the island and also see the sunken ships just off the coats of Tobermory. There are many great hiking trails around the Tobermory area. This is a great travel destination for an adventurous person.
