Times Higher Education (THE) has announced the results of the World University Rankings 2021.
The list includes more than 1,500 universities spanning 93 countries and regions. It’s “the only global university league table to judge research-intensive universities across each one of their core missions”:
- Teaching (the learning environment)
- Research (volume, income, and reputation)
- International outlook (staff, students, and research)
- Citations (research influence)
- Industry income (knowledge transfer)
Times Higher Education employs 13 performance indicators to ensure “comprehensive and balanced comparisons,” and the data is independently audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
