1. Western Michigan University – Kalamazoo

Global Education Merit Scholarship
This scholarship offers students a one-time award of US$5,000 to first-time international students. This scholarship is awarded by a committee to help cover student tuition fees. Furthermore, you’re automatically considered for this scholarship if you’re an international student that has been accepted into WMU. You don’t need to make a separate application!

2. Middle Tennessee State University
Did you know that Tennessee has one of the highest research budgets dedicated to energy? The state is also home to the most-visited national park in the US. Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has been named one of the best places to earn an undergraduate degree in the nation by The Princeton Review. The Review also called MTSU “a go-to choice for those wishing to receive a quality and affordable education.”

International Merit Scholarships
This scholarship is offered to any first-year or transfer student accepted to MTSU. Scholarship amounts range between US$4,000 and US$16,000 and can be used every year with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. If you’re an international student that has been accepted at MTSU, you don’t need to apply for this scholarship, as you’re automatically considered for it!

3. University of Iowa

International Distinction in Education Award (IDEA)
This scholarship is offered to incoming first-year international students who graduated from a high school outside the US. Scholarship amounts range between US$500 and US$10,000 per year, and are based on a holistic review of applicant information, grades, and ACT or SAT scores. If you’re an international student who’s been accepted into UI, you don’t need to apply for this scholarship, as you’re automatically considered!

4. Colorado State University-Pueblo

International Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is designed for non-transfer first-year students from Brazil, Colombia, Japan, South Korea, or China. Successful students are awarded US$8,000 each academic year, which may be combined with other CSU-Pueblo scholarships. These scholarships are awarded based on a student’s national college entrance exam in their respective home countries and their GPAs.
