Meet Tanya Dias, Associate Director, Accounts Receivable, and one of the recipients of the 2022 ApplyBoard Ambassador Award! Tanya was selected for this award because she consistently holds our core values close to her heart and embodies what it means to be an ApplyBoardian. She has an incredible ability to connect with those around her, whether by sharing a joke or surprising her team with a fun-filled day of competitive events. So it’s no surprise that Tanya is welcomed by many different teams across the company.
Tanya has been with ApplyBoard since September 2019 where she started as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Around three and a half years later, she started her new role as Associate Director, Accounts Receivable in January 2023. In this role, Tanya handles process and escalation management, school and recruitment partner engagement, and redevelopment of current practices and offerings. Tanya recently sat down to share her Life at ApplyBoard.

A Place To Be Yourself
Tanya has come to love many aspects of working at ApplyBoard, but one that separates it from her previous employers is the ability to just be herself.
When I come to work or when I’m presenting myself [on] camera, I feel a lot of confidence, which I may not have had prior to ApplyBoard. I’m able to be humble and kind, and just be who I am. So whether that’s wearing a smile, or receiving criticism or feedback, I have the ability to spin that in a positive direction. Working with ApplyBoard gives me the ability to feel that confidence and enables me to make changes within our own department as well.
Because Tanya feels like she can be herself at work, the rest of the company can see how amazing she truly is.
One of the aspects that makes Tanya so wonderful is her fun spirit. One of ApplyBoard’s six core values is Making Work Fun, and if there ever was a poster person for “fun,” it would be Tanya Dias. (If you don’t believe us, check out the ApplyBloops at the end of the video.)
Even though it may seem effortless, she admits that she tries “really hard to come to work and set aside any frustrations or hardships that I’m having. Coming in with a smile and delivering the best energy I can is super important to me because I truly believe that energy can resonate with other individuals.” And resonate it does!

A Place to Grow
ApplyBoard prides itself on fostering an environment where team members have the support to excel and develop in their roles. For Tanya, that means ensuring ApplyBoard’s customers and her fellow ApplyBoardians have what they need to succeed. She shared that she’s “been given a great opportunity with ApplyBoard to continue growing and evolving my learning skills and expertise. This helps me work with our cross-functional departments to deliver on our customer’s expectations.”
Another one of ApplyBoard’s core values is Delivering A+ Customer Service. As Tanya’s built her career, she’s also grown her ability to meet her customer’s expectations, which is saying a lot because she was already a rockstar at it. Tanya shared that striving to deliver A+ customer service “enables ApplyBoard team members to learn and grow throughout our journey.”
At ApplyBoard, we believe the journey is just as important as the destination you’re pursuing. For us, that destination is to Educate the World, and ApplyBoard is lucky to have Tanya along for the journey.
