About Columbia Academy

Columbia Academy (CA) is a co-educational high school that is located in downtown Vancouver, Canada. Columbia Academy is fully bonded and certified by the British Columbia Ministry of Education and offers a grade 8 through 12 high school program.

Columbia Academy's goal is to help prepare students for acceptance to the top universities in the world. It is proud to say that 100% of past graduates have been accepted by universities, and 90% of graduates have been accepted by the world’s top 50 universities. 

Columbia Academy's mission is to have each and every student see the world as full of opportunities, while also living a successful and happy life after being part of Columbia Academy. Academic success is not the only aspect is values in at the school. Students are encouraged to develop not only a high level of mental intelligence, but also great resilience, so that they can be the leaders of tomorrow who love to give back to the community around them.

  • Character development: Students will not only learn academic skills, but will also develop key virtues such as happiness, compassion, integrity, resilience, and responsibility during their time spent at Columbia Academy. Students will be inspired to become fine and happy people and bring these values to their society. All students at Columbia Academy are always safe, respected, and accepted in a healthy educational environment.
  • Clubs and activities: Columbia Academy knows that many valuable learning opportunities exist beyond the school curriculum. It provides a number of activities and clubs that add to the fun and variety of students’ academic lives including Yoga, Music, Debate, Basketball, Meditation, Math Competition, Computer, Mental Health, and more.
  • Community: Volunteer opportunities are offered for the students with local charities. Fun school events are hosted all year round including: a summer cruise, Whistler trip, Christmas party, Talent show, Halloween party, and more. And small class sizes allow students to have close interaction with their teachers and peers.
  • University planning: Columbia Academy is a certified AP school and AP test center. Personalized university planning is offered to help students reach their dream university, and free tutoring is available to give students extra help if they have challenges with the courses. Three semesters a year (January - April, May - August, and September - December) allows students to achieve their graduation goals faster.
