Abbotsford School District 34 (ASD34) - Abbotsford Senior Secondary School

Abbotsford Senior Secondary is a school with a 58 year history of excellence in education, sports, extra-curricular activities, and Panther spirit! At one time, Abbotsford Senior was the only public high school in Abbotsford. It opened its doors in September of 1955 and many of our community and educational leaders are proud alumni of the school. Abbotsford Senior Secondary School was renovated in September 2012. Designed by an Abbotsford Graduate, this school has been recognized as one of the most technologically and environmentally advanced schools in North America.

Abbotsford Senior Secondary School has a population of approximately 1100 students and 55 teaching staff. In addition to the regular BC Provincial curriculum, Abbotsford Senior Secondary is proud to offer:

• International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP since 1984)
• District Career Programs
• ISP (Integrated Studies Program)
• Sport and Human Performance program (Soccer Focus)
• Academic subjects and school programs include a Visual and Performing Arts Department (Visual Arts, Drama, Jazz, Band, Guitar, and Drumline courses), Business Education courses, Industrial Arts and Technology Courses
• A wide variety of extra-curricular activities including the Snowball Tournament, Key Club, Student Leadership, HIB Leadership, Grad Committee, Multicultural Club, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and track and field, among many others!
