William Aberhart High School was built in 1957 and is situated on 10.2 acres. Its mission is to provide an environment that enables students to grow as caring, autonomous, lifelong learners, able and willing to participate effectively and responsibly in society.

• Course variety: William Aberhart High School offers Advanced Placement (AP) programs in Biology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Science, English, Political Science, Mathematics, and French Literature. It also offers ESL, Spanish Bilingual and French Immersion programs, and Technical and Business courses as part of the Calgary Board of Education Career and Technology Studies program. 
• Facilities: William Aberhart has 54 classrooms, 2 gymnasiums, a fully equipped Fitness Centre available for classes and student memberships, a multi-media library resource centre, and specialized areas for music, drama, and art.
• Extracurricular activities: William Aberhart High School is proud to offer an extensive list of extracurricular activities. Sports teams include Volleyball, Football, Cross Country Running, Soccer, Swim and Dive, Basketball, Badminton, Wrestling, Field Hockey, Rugby, and Track and Field. Clubs include Yearbook, Leadership, Environmental Awareness, Hip Hop, Debate, Model United Nations, Robotics, Gay-Straight Alliance, Principal Advisory Committee, Students’ Council, Astronomy, Film Making, Photography, Graduation Committee, School Newspaper, and Technology, to name just a few.
