Founded in 1947, Sacramento State provides a world-class education in the heart of California’s Capital Region. The California State University - Sacramento is home to top academic programs, comprising a learning community where students, faculty, and staff come together to Redefine the Possible.

Sacramento State faculty members are internationally known researchers and scholars. More than 80 percent of our full-time faculty hold a Ph.D. This means students will learn from professors who are prominent in their fields - people who are creating new knowledge in engineering, science, business, arts, education, health care, technology, social science, humanities, and liberal arts.
