About College of the North Atlantic (CNA) - Happy Valley-Goose Bay

College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back over 55 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East. In NL, CNA has over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year.

CNA continues to have the lowest tuition fees of any post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. CNA offers an impressive world-class, nationally accredited range of programming that meets the highest demands of industry; transferability opportunities that promote continuing education at home and abroad; research and development leadership in the community and regional innovation; and, precedent-setting international partnerships.   • Campus: The Happy Valley-Goose Bay region is located in central Labrador at the mouth of the Churchill River. It has a proud history, a rich heritage and is home to approximately 8,000 residents.
  • Facilities: The Happy Valley-Goose Bay Campus is one of the fastest growing campuses of College of the North Atlantic with a recent $5.5 million dollar campus extension. This extension consists of more than 1,800 square meters, providing additional space for new classrooms, two lecture theatres, a library, increased common areas and offices. The addition is also home to the Labrador Institute of Memorial University. This campus continues to deliver quality programming designed to meet modern industry’s needs. Services include a Student Development Office, Guidance Office and Aboriginal Supports. Additionally, the College provides cafeteria services, singles and family residence, and childcare facilities.
  • Hands-on experience: Many of College of the North Atlantic's programs offer field opportunities where students can apply what they've learned in the classroom to the community.
