About Delta School District 37 (DSD37) - Elementary and High Schools

Located 30 minutes from Vancouver, 20 minutes from the airport, and touching the USA border, Delta School District has 31 schools in three towns (Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen). Delta School District welcomes international students from ages 5 to 18 years old in short term, full year, and summer camp programs. Delta School District have International Coordinators in every school and Cultural support staff who speak English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Why Delta School District Elementary and High Schools

  • Special opportunities: Delta's elementary programs offer excellent school and extracurricular opportunities where students can join in with Canadian students, make friends, and have new experiences. These include sports, band/music, service clubs, outdoor education, special community, school, and cultural events, and enrichment programs in the areas of Art, Writing, Math, and STEM.
  • English language learning: Each school provides ESL instruction for visiting international students (with small class sizes). Elementary international students learn English quickly due to complete immersion environments. Delta students are very curious and eagerly welcome visiting international students.
  • Location: The three well-serviced communities within Delta – Tsawwassen, Ladner and North Delta – are known for their friendly, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. With quiet and safe streets, access to the Fraser River and the Pacific Ocean, open spaces, farmland, beaches, and parks, Delta is unique in the Vancouver area. Delta enjoys a mild climate with temperatures rarely falling below 0 degrees Celsius in the winter and reaching the mid-20s in the summer months. Delta boasts the most hours of sunshine in the Vancouver area, along with the mildest and driest winters in the Vancouver region.
