About District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) - Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School
The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 publicly funded school district in Ontario, Canada. Students are invited to live and study in one of the most scenic parts of the world that is home to the famous Niagara Falls. The Niagara Region is located just over an hour by car or train from Toronto. Its schools offer programs that are internationally renowned for their excellence, are staffed with government-certified, highly dedicated teachers, and have superb facilities.
Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School was founded in 1959, and named after the former British Prime Minister, known mainly for his leadership of the United Kingdom during World War II. The school's colours are navy blue and gold, and its mascot is the Bulldog.

- Ontario curriculum: Sir Winston Churchill students have the opportunity to achieve the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), widely recognized for admission to post-secondary institutions in Ontario, across Canada and the U.S.A., and worldwide.
- Student support: Sir Winston Churchill international students are immersed in classrooms with a high percentage of students whose first language is English. They receive comprehensive support for developing English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students and receive free transportation to and from school to access designated ESL programs.
- Facilities: Sir Winston Churchill's campus features an all-weather, artificial turf, football/soccer/lacrosse field, an all-weather track, a parking lot, and a two-story building. The building includes a gymnasium with multiple changing rooms for boys and girls as well as showers, a weight room, and an auditorium. A brand new, two-level, cafeteria was completed in 2013. The old cafeteria has been converted into a larger library, while the old library has been converted into two classrooms. SWC is a barrier-free facility, courtesy of elevator access to all levels. The school recently opened a new broadcast studio on the main floor, outfitted with studio lighting and high definition video cameras, that is used to broadcast the morning announcements - a student-run program called SWC NEWS.
- Course variety: Sir Winston Churchill is one of two secondary schools in St. Catharines offering French Immersion programming. It offers Co-operative Education and Specialist High Skills Majors in Arts & Culture, Business, Information & Communications Technology, and Manufacturing.
- Extracurricular activities: Sir Winston Churchill offers a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved outside the classroom. Sports teams include Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Curling, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse, Rowing, Soccer, Swim Team, Tennis, Volleyball, and Wrestling. Clubs include Art Club, Cheerleading, Chess Club, Debating, Drama Productions, ESports, Fishing Club, French Contest, Literary Magazine, Mosaic, Musical Ensembles, Robotics, Ski Club, Tech Crew, Tech Design Makers Club, White Pine Book Club, and Yearbook Club.
