About District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) - Welland Centennial Secondary School
The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 publicly funded school district in Ontario, Canada. Students are invited to live and study in one of the most scenic parts of the world that is home to the famous Niagara Falls. The Niagara Region is located just over an hour by car or train from Toronto. Its schools offer programs that are internationally renowned for their excellence, are staffed with government-certified, highly dedicated teachers, and have superb facilities
Welland Centennial Secondary School was founded in 1966 and offers Secondary School education for grades nine to twelve, as well as the extended French certificate program. All students have their own way of thinking and solving problems. Welland helps each student to develop and grow their interests, talents, and energies in whatever pathway they take beyond secondary school. It educates students so that they can adapt to the rapidly evolving 21st century. Welland students ask new questions that matter -- questions that lead to creative ways of thinking that will have a profound impact on their lives.

They receive comprehensive support for developing English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students and receive free transportation to and from school to access designated ESL programs.

The drama department is responsible for a large-scale dramatic performance each year. It also offers Co-operative Education and Specialist High Skills Majors in Arts & Culture, Energy, and Health & Wellness.
- Extracurricular activities: Welland has varsity Soccer, as well as Senior and Junior Football, Basketball, Curling, Volleyball, Badminton, and Tennis. There are a number of clubs and activities for students to be involved with, including Chess Club, Centennial Changemakers, Centennial For Christ, Cultural Club, Dance Team, Environmental Club, Media Arts Club, Ski and Snowboard Club, Student Council, Theatre Tech Club, and Vocal Groups, to name just a few.
