District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) - Westlane Secondary School

The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 publicly funded school district in Ontario, Canada. Students are invited to live and study in one of the most scenic parts of the world that is home to the famous Niagara Falls. The Niagara Region is located just over an hour by car or train from Toronto. Its schools offer programs that are internationally renowned for their excellence, are staffed with government-certified, highly dedicated teachers, and have superb facilities.

Westlane Secondary School occupies a 15-acre portion of the former Pitton Farm on Lundy's Lane at Kalar Road. It serves the southwest end of the former township of Stamford, the Town of Chippawa and the Township of Willoghby. Westlane developed to its present capacity of 1300 students.

They receive comprehensive support for developing English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students and receive free transportation to and from school to access designated ESL programs.
• Course variety: Westlane Technology Education provides students skills in the areas of Communication, Electronics, Electricity, Videography, Integrated Technology, Refrigeration, Tech Design, Construction, Manufacturing, and Transportation. It also offers Co-operative Education and Specialist High Skills Majors in Business, Construction, Horticulture & Landscaping, Information & Communications Technology, and Transportation.
• Extracurricular activities: Westlane Spartans, with access to the newly equipped gymnasium, are known for their excellent athletic programs, most notably their basketball, football, rugby, volleyball, and soccer teams. In addition to sports, there are a number of clubs for students to become involved with, including What About Me To We, Book Club, DECA, Math Clinic, Breakfast Club, Art Club, Music Clubs, Debate Club, and Rowing Club.
