Fort Erie International Academy

Fort Erie International Academy (FEIA) is a private boarding school in the Niagara Region of Canada, home to a rich and diverse student body seeking academic and athletic excellence.

FEIA was established with the approval of the Ontario Ministry of Education. FEIA's secondary school graduates will receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) which is accepted for direct admission to the world’s top universities. With a dedicated team of certified teachers, student support staff, house leaders and tutors, FEIA ensure an individualized approach that meets the needs of all learners.

Rooted in the Ontario curriculum, FEIA's approach to education guides students to learn how to think instead of what to think, fosters global awareness and helps each student grow in to a responsible and global citizen who is well equipped for life beyond academia.

• Campus: FEIA is among the largest boarding schools in Canada. FEIA’s campus covers an area of 80 000 m2 and has first-class teaching facilities including: 2 teaching buildings, 2 dormitory buildings, 12 scientific experiment labs, 12 skills training internship workshops, 2 indoor basketball gymnasiums, 2 libraries, 2 dining halls, a 400-seat theatre, a fitness room, a community room, an outdoor soccer field, as well as an indoor swimming pool.
• Diversity Scholarships: Diversity Scholarships are available based on economic, cultural, and/or athletic abilities.
  
• Facilities: FEIA’s brand-new on-campus residence can house up to 400 students. With the assistance of our residence managers, this experience teaches students about the responsibilities of living collaboratively and encourages leadership, initiative and cooperation to work together as a team. FEIA's new residence is designed to provide our student body with the opportunity to congregate, study individually and in groups, and partake in after-school activities. Joining the FEIA family means more than just studying abroad, it is an overarching experience that broadens students’ horizons, teaches them key life skills, provides world class education, and encourages them to make community connections.
• Sports: FEIA’s sports programs provide unique opportunities for FEIA's athletes to have successful careers. FEIA have professional and experienced coaches and athletic trainers to best support its players. FEIA's players have been featured on major news networks such as CBC, TSN and ESPN. FEIA's teams have travelled across North America and gained attention from NBA scouts. FEIA’s athletes have received multiple D1 offers from major universities. This year the FEIA Boys Basketball team won the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) Championship.
• Co-Curricular activities: Life at FEIA extends beyond the classroom. We offer a wide variety of after-school activities including golf, traditional Chinese painting, martial arts, swimming and music lessons including travelling concert band and private lessons. FEIA also incorporates the STEM methodology into our extra curriculum to extend learning in math, science and technology with programs like First Lego League; an interactive science and robotics program.
• Ideal Location: Located in the Niagara Region, a major international tourism location and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Fort Erie is the ideal location for international students. • Services: Part of FEIA's commitment to students and their families is a comprehensive health and safety plan that encompasses physical and mental health support, addresses bullying and drug/alcohol use, and ensures a safe and supportive living and learning environment 24 hours a day. Parent-school communication ensures parents are kept up to date with accurate information regarding the school and students’ academic performance, health, and safety, boosting family engagement. FEIA provides buffet-style healthy meals prepared by qualified chefs in FEIA's on-campus dining hall. There are a variety of food choices from different cultures, utilizing locally grown produce whenever possible, to encourage healthy eating habits. FEIA are able to accommodate a wide variety of dietary restrictions and ensure students receive nutritious, delicious, and fresh meals.
