- Campus: Lakehead offers much more than just an education. They make it easy for students to deepen their learning through internships and cooperative education form meaningful academic relationships with professors, play an active part in clubs and recreation, and to access students supports easily. Lakehead's undergraduate entrance scholarship program is among the most generous in Canada. There are many student-run festivals and events inviting students to represent their country on Culture Days on campus, plan Lunar New Year Celebrations or take part in the city's Holi Festival. There are also leadership opportunities that allow students to develop new skills and grow as a person while getting involved in group actives and meaningful projects such as the Global Ambassador and Peer Mentor Programs.
- Facilities: With Lake Tamblyn and the McIntyre River as its centrepiece, the Thunder Bay campus has everything to make your university experience complete: seminar-style classrooms, larger lecture halls, cutting-edge laboratories, libraries, computer labs, student services offices, recreational facilities, residences, cafeterias and cafés, and a new International Centre and Lounge right in the centre of campus. Paved trails weaving through campus make it the perfect place to take in the beauty of the area during any season as you unwind by hiking, jogging, skateboarding, bike riding, or cross-country skiing.
- Location: Located on the north-west shore of Lake Superior, the City of Thunder Bay is built around the harbour of the largest inland port in Canada. Under the watchful gaze of the majestic Sleeping Giant, this home for 123,000 people is served by major and regional airlines, bus service, and the Trans-Canada Highway. Year-round, Thunder Bay acts as the centre of a vast recreational and cultural area offering access to a wide variety of sports and activities. With two Alpine and two world-class Nordic ski centres in the area, as well as excellent curling and hockey facilities, and endless outdoor activities like fat biking, ice climbing, dogsledding and ice fishing, winter is no time to hibernate in Thunder Bay. Summer activities include sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, rock climbing, swimming, jogging, cycling, camping, fishing, hiking and golf which abound in and around numerous lakes in the area. Thunder Bay's famed Sleeping Giant was voted #1, the People's Choice in the Seven Wonders of Canada contest.
