Its home to the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences and if students are planning on pursuing their passion to work in the fields of wildlife, conservation, animal care or agriculture, Brackenhurst is the ultimate outdoor classroom and their new home from home. Students will work on some of the most dynamic and innovative work in the field of animal, rural and environmental sciences.
- Community: From the students, to the staff, to the animals themselves, Brackenhurst Campus is a living and learning experience unlike any other, showcasing a truly special slice of the natural world with a thriving learning community, all just a short bus ride away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
- Student Life: There’s about 1,700 students on campus and every year Nottingham Trent University hosts Brackfest, a celebration of Brackenhurst life complete with live music, activities, tractor rides and a BBQ.
- Countryside: As a working farm and a wildlife haven, the Brackenhurst countryside estate is fully equipped with all the facilities students need, from the brand new Lyth building at the heart of campus, to the dedicated veterinary nursing centre, animal unit, food laboratory and more.
- Activities and Events: Brack Bar is the centre of the student community on campus and there’s always something going on, from big nights out to relaxed quiz nights and movie screenings. The Orangery café is another great place to chill and recharge with a coffee in between lectures, while the new Lyth building boasts social and teaching spaces and is the home of our student support services on campus.
