About Saskatchewan Polytechnic - Prince Albert

Saskatchewan Polytechnic serves students through applied learning opportunities on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 Territories and the homeland of the Métis. Learning takes place at campuses in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon. Programs serve every economic and public service sector. As a polytechnic, the organization provides the depth of learning appropriate to employer and student needs, including certificate, diploma and degree programs, and apprenticeship training. Saskatchewan Polytechnic engages in applied research, drawing on faculty expertise to support innovation by employers, and providing students the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills.

  • Campus: The Prince Albert campus is a beautiful campus that enriches the student experience with services and supports. There are two campuses in Prince Albert. The Technical and Academic buildings are located side-by-side. Each building offers a friendly, comfortable and supportive learning environment. The education and training provided leaves no question that Saskatchewan Polytechnic is the hub of post-secondary education in north central Saskatchewan. 
  • Location: Prince Albert, also known as P.A., is the third largest city in Saskatchewan. It has a population of 35,000 and is located on Treaty 6 territory, and Homeland of the Métis people. With plenty of amenities such as shopping malls, grocery stores, libraries, recreation complexes, movie theatres, health care facilities, parks and more, P.A. has everything a student needs. Prince Albert is the gateway to northern Saskatchewan. With lakes, forests and rivers all within a short distance from the city, residents can experience the natural beauty of Saskatchewan.
  • Facilities: the Prince Albert campus is fully equipped with hospitality services focused on providing students nutritious and affordable food; the Prince Albert Campus Bookstore--a one stop shop for course materials, stationary, merchandise, giftware, and clothing; and the Student Association, that welcomes students to create their own or join a Student Society to find other students with common interests.
  • Applied Research: Saskatchewan Polytechnic delivers practical solutions to everyday problems. Applied research assesses a need, proves a concept and tests new products to refine them for market.
