About Surrey School District 36 (SSD36) - Panorama Ridge Secondary School

Panorama Ridge Secondary School's mission is to learn to live; live to learn. The school goals focus on: 

  • Meeting the diverse social, emotional, and educational needs of students and maximizing student learning through differentiated instruction and best practice.
  • Developing student attitudes and behaviours which enhance school safety, pride, and appreciation of cultural diversity, in the school and in the community, through social development and responsibility

Why Panorama Ridge Secondary School

  • Course variety: Panorama Ridge has an excellent academic program offering several Advanced Placement (AP) courses including English, Geography, Biology, and Calculus. Panorama Ridge also boasts and an excellent fine arts program with a major focus on Dance, Choreography, Vocal Jazz and Concert Band.
  • Extracurricular activities: Panorama Ridge offers a variety of competitive sports teams as well as clubs that encourage social and community responsibility. Clubs offered include Bollywood, Chess, Creative Writing, Dance, Green Team, Model UN, and Weight Training, to name just a few. Sports teams include Volleyball, Cross Country, Soccer, Ice and Ball Hockey, Basketball,  Badminton, and Track and Field.

NOTE: While Surrey School District does not ask for IELTS or TOEFL scores, there is a minimum level of language expected for the student to be successful in grades 10 and 11:

  • For students applying to grade 10, the minimum level IELTS score is 3 or TOEFL score is 30-40 which equate to a ‘Low-Developing’ 12.1-13.5 score in Surrey.
  • For students applying to grade 11, the minimum level IELTS score is 4 or TOEFL score is 41-52 which equate to a ‘Developing’ 13.6-15.2 score in Surrey
