Trinity Language Centre

Trinity Language Centre (TLC) offers university language preparation programs for students pursuing post-secondary education in Canada. It provides academic English classes to students from beginner to advanced levels and aims to help learners improve their academic English skills necessary for their undergraduate or graduate studies. TLC equips students with the learning strategies essential in North American educational context, and helps students cultivate the cultural sensitivity and critical thinking needed for them to succeed in their journey of international education in Canada. In a supportive community of English learning, students will improve their language skills and learning strategies, acquire cultural knowledge and awareness, and develop critical thinking to ensure a smooth transition into North American colleges or universities.

Why Trinity Language Centre

• Student Life: Every semester, students at TLC are actively and enthusiastically participating in a wide selection of activities including workshops, celebrations, services, performances, and competitions. Students could escape from their day-to-day studying, indulge in what they really enjoy and reach self-actualization from doing so.
• Academic activities: Students take part in several academic field trips on various themes in order to deepen the understanding of knowledge, to practice language skills, and to explore the local Canadian life and cultures in an interactive and mobilized manner. Likewise, the academic workshop is another essential component supplementing the daily in-class teaching, facilitating students to gain more insights and hands-on experience on the subjects and topics they are interested in.
  
• Supports: TLC provides adequate support to the students in various aspects of academics and personal life. Students can sign up for a one-on-one tutorial with the Academic Assistant every week to discuss their homework, projects, and any other questions concerning language learning. The Wellness Centre also offers private, professional, and free counselling sessions to help students under stress or facing difficulties solve their problems in a safe and cozy setting.
