The university is one of the oldest higher education providers in the United Kingdom having recently celebrated its 180th year of teaching, starting off as a teacher training college back in 1839. Originally based on one campus in Chester, the university now offers more than 200 single and combined honour’s programmes across a number of specialist sites in Chester, Shrewsbury and Warrington. Courses have an emphasis on practical learning to enhance prospects via industry placements or overseas opportunities, ranging from five-weeks to one-year.

  • Location: Located in the North West, Warrington has been welcoming visitors for over 2000 years. Cities Chester, Liverpool and Manchester can be easily accessed from nearby motorways and fast frequent rail links, putting it in an ideal position to enjoy the North West of England. In 2022  University Chester's Warrington courses will be offered from new premises, co-designed with current students, right in the heart of Warrington town centre. The University has worked closely with current students and local businesses for their input on this exciting new development to ensure that  the university  creates high-quality specialist spaces that  students will value and excel in.  The central location will allow students and staff easy access to public transport, as well as a range of leisure and retail facilities offered in Warrington.
