- National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site: Cumbria’s unique Ambleside campus is the only UK university-based within a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. This park has 214 mountains, 67,671 hectares of woodland, and is home to rare and endangered species including ospreys, red and roe deer, otters, red squirrels and atlantic salmon.
