Located in the province's capitol, the University of Regina is the leading experience-based learning university in Saskatchewan. When students attend the University of Regina they join approximately 16,000 other students in a truly Canadian learning experience. Diverse and inclusive, international students make up almost 18% of the student population. The University of Regina welcomes approximately 3,000 international students from nearly 100 countries each year. 

The campus is beautiful, safe and home to top researchers and academics. The faculty and student researchers share a desire to understand and influence the world. This is where teaching and research come together, and  daring discovery occurs!  In 2020-2021, the school had over $31 million in research revenue.

The University of Regina is located on Treaty 4 Territory with a presence in Treaty 6 Territory. These are the ancestral lands of the nêhiyawak (Cree), Anihšināpēk (Salteaux), Dakota, Lakota, Nakota and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation.

University of Regina International Student Services assists all international students with building a strong foundation for academic success. Beginning the moment students are accepted and throughout the entire duration of their program, the University of Regina provides personalized support and guidance in the student's academic journey.
  • Co-op: University of Regina pioneered the Co-op Work Experience Program in Western Canada and has been committed to it ever since. Students can earn while they learn - typical salaries range from $12,000-$14,000 per semester - as they sample different career choices, work environments, and locations. Students can also participate in internships, field work, practicums and professional placements.
