Why University of Staffordshire – Stoke-on-Trent campus

  • Specialist facilities for real-world learning:  At the Stoke-on-Trent campus, we’ve invested £2.2m in 12 immersive learning spaces, including a hospital ward, courtrooms, domestic living areas, custody suite and prison cell. It’s where students from a range of courses practise their skills in realistic environments. They could be treating a patient after a fall in the home, gathering and analysing forensic evidence, presenting legal arguments in court, or learning about offender management.
  • Catalyst for the future: The Catalyst building is a landmark development at the heart of the campus. It brings together cutting-edge digital facilities, employer connections, and innovative learning spaces – providing a dynamic environment that prepares students for the workplace. A brand new Student Hub is also under construction, which will be a focal point for their student community. It will include social spaces, areas for student events and pop-up exhibitions, wellbeing activities, personal study areas, a prayer space and a base for student services.
  • Supportive student life: The campus offers a range of wellbeing and academic support services, alongside a dedicated Students’ Union and on-site Sports Centre.
  • Heritage and innovation: The University's presence in Stoke-on-Trent dates back to 1914, beginning with the historic Cadman Building. The campus continues to evolve, combining a strong sense of heritage with a forward-thinking approach to education, innovation and employability within the region.
