About Dual Program - College Diploma - Writing for Film and TV & Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA)

Students can combine the Toronto Film School Writing for Film & TV Diploma + Yorkville University Bachelor of Creative Arts dual degree pathway to receive both a creative arts diploma and creative arts degree at the end of their studies!

The Writing for Film & TV program replicates the collaborative process of the film and television industry. Students will learn to pitch, write, produce, and edit across various formats, including sitcoms, dramas, TV movies, feature films, documentaries, new media, and commercials. The program emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing students to bring their original scripts to life by collaborating with students in film production, acting, and video game design.

Extend the diploma with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree

Students can further develop their creative talents and gain advanced business and leadership skills through a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from Yorkville University. This degree complements the specialized creative arts diploma, offering deeper industry knowledge, including talent management, project budgeting, financial planning, and more.
Note: The BCA program can be completed in as few as 15 months for domestic students and 2 years for international students with full course load, year-round study, and/or approved transfer credits. Applicants are encouraged to contact an Admissions Advisor.
