Dual Program - College Diploma - Acting for Film, TV and Theatre & Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA)

Students can combine the Toronto Film School Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre diploma + Yorkville University Bachelor of Creative Arts dual degree pathway to receive both a creative arts diploma and creative arts degree at the end of their studies!

Students in the Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre diploma program will learn the craft of acting through practical, hands-on training under the mentorship of professional actors. With a focus on both stage and screen, students will master powerful acting techniques, including the Stanislavski Method, and gain a thorough understanding of the artistic, technical, and business aspects of acting.

Students can further their education by combining the Toronto Film School Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre diploma with the Yorkville University Bachelor of Creative Arts degree through a unique dual degree pathway. This pathway allows students to earn both a creative arts diploma and degree at the end of their studies.

Students will refine their acting skills through the Stanislavski Method, blending film and television acting with stage techniques. The program covers a wide range of disciplines, from movement, voice, and improvisation to voice-over work, screenwriting, auditioning, and career management. Students will gain both performance expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the entire entertainment industry, including pitching, producing, directing, and video editing.

Extend the diploma with a Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree

Graduates of the Acting for Film, TV & the Theatre diploma can extend their education with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from Yorkville University. This degree completion program is designed for students who already hold a diploma in a creative arts discipline and equips them with the advanced leadership, business, and project management skills needed to succeed in the creative industries. Students will learn about talent management, project budgeting, financial planning, and more.

Through the articulation agreement with Yorkville University, eligible students can complete their BCA degree in as few as 15 months while working, gaining expertise in programming gameplay, managing projects, and leading productions.

*International students are eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) upon graduation.

How the Bursary Works

• The $19,500 Yorkville Bursary will be applied over the two years of their BCA program, and the $10,000 ApplyBoard bursary will be applied across the entire four years of the TFS + BCA terms of study
