About Associate of Arts - Fashion Merchandising
The Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising provides students with an introduction to the business of fashion with a firm foundation in the concepts and problem-solving skills of Fashion Merchandising. Once earned, the Associate’s degree can also be used as a stepping stone to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Undergraduate students will meet the following student performance criteria:
Research and Concept Development
- Develop informed point of view or concept by conducting effective research
Fashion Merchandising
- Source, edit and select the appropriate product for a target customer
Presentation Skills
- Clearly express ideas utilizing fashion industry vocabulary
- Conduct professional PowerPoint presentations
- Express ideas in written form
Collaboration Skills
- Work effectively in a team
Professional Readiness
- Produce basic materials required for an entry-level job search
