About Bachelor of Film (109408D)
Students will be immersed in the world of filmmaking and discover how to shoot, edit, script, direct and produce professional quality films. With a specific focus on contemporary filmic uses of interactive media and post production technology, they will learn how to apply high-level cinematography and visual effects to their projects using the same equipment, contemporary software, and processes that their favourite filmmakers use. This course will also build their confidence and communication skills to manage technical and professional problems through creative solutions, and show them how to present and pitch concepts to make an impact. Students will learn how to engage a film-making crew to understand, embrace and support the vision and messages of their film work.
At the completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Integrate professional acumen, adaptation, communication, collaboration and alignment with industry-standard procedures to augment the creation of film, video or visual media projects.
- Incorporate broad theoretical, technical and procedural knowledge into the creation of professional quality and commercially viable film, video or visual media.
- Analyze complex problems, applying creativity and critical thinking to plan and implement appropriate solutions.
- Investigate, analyze and experiment with current and emerging technologies to enhance and inform the creation of contemporary film, video or visual media.
- Construct and execute film, video or visual media projects in line with professional industry standards, demonstrating responsible resource management, defined timelines and clear deliverables.
- Analyse, evaluate and synthesize ethical considerations and cultural awareness in the composition and development of film, video or visual media content.
- Research and analyze the symbiosis between visual media, culture and society, producing artefacts that effectively convey meaning, entertain, educate or provide solutions to a target audience.
- Present ideas precisely and persuasively, utilizing audience-relevant modes of communication and appropriate visual supports.
- Utilize self-reflection, professional feedback, networking and personal development strategies to ensure continuous professional growth.
Academy of Interactive Technology is offering a 15% to 30% scholarship to ApplyBoard students for all the three intakes of the year 2024.
