Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - International Studies - Business

The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Adelphi campus and New York area through its contextual curriculum. Students may enter the program in the spring, summer or fall. Upon completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.

The business track of the Bachelor of Arts in International Studies is enhanced by Adelphi’s proximity to New York City, providing both intellectual and practical opportunities to majors in the business track. In the senior year, students conduct either an original interdisciplinary research project or an internship that allows them to apply the interdisciplinary knowledge they have gained in the classroom. An intensive language component enables students to communicate effectively in their target language and gives them a crosscultural perspective of the countries whose language they are studying.
