In today’s competitive workforce, most jobs require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.  A business degree, however, provides students with a specific skill sets array needed to ensure they get the career of their dreams.  A business degree will help improve and perfect their communication, presentation, and written skills, as well as their critical and creative thinking skills. The accounting minor offers a pathway into an assortment of accounting career opportunities for those with an aptitude for numbers, organizing, and analytical problem-solving skills.  Students will begin by learning the basics of accounting and understanding the internal and external uses of financial information. The program builds on these foundations through intermediate and advanced accounting concepts, including taxation and auditing. This minor paves the way into studies for a professional accounting designation (CPA, CAFM, etc.), and boasts an excellent pass rate for its graduates.
