About 1-Semester Pathway - Pre-Master's Pathway in Public Health and Social Sciences - Continue to Master of Science - Public Health and Community Wellbeing
The pre-master’s course in Public Health and Social Sciences will prepare students for studying these subjects at postgraduate level. Students will develop a range of academic and communicative skills such as, research theory and practice, independent learning, psychology and ethics, qualitative and quantitative research, and scientific/ social sciences research methods.
The MSc Public Health and Community Wellbeing course is designed to prepare students to meet public health needs in the UK, through emphasis on localised skills such as economic evaluations, NHS commissioning, and regional public health concerns.
At ARU, the postgraduate Public Health and Community Wellbeing degree takes a modern approach, by directly addressing the social, economic, political and other factors that influence population health and community wellbeing. It explores public health locally and is particularly relevant to UK populations within diverse community groups. Students will learn how to apply advanced theory and techniques to practical scenarios.
