2-Semester Pathway - Foundation Pathway in Business - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Business Management

The University Foundation Pathway is Stage 1 of the undergraduate pathway. The transition from high school to university is a big step, perhaps the most important. Staff at ARU College understand this, and will provide students with ongoing guidance, support, and the knowledge and skills they need. It is this partnership between the students and the staff that will make this transition a smooth one.

This is a 2 trimester course. which means that an undergraduate degree will take 4 years to complete. During Stage 1 students will complete a range of modules relevant to their chosen degree, as well as modules concentrating on the skills that are vital for University level education such as Critical Thinking. Stage 1 will be the first stage in the 4 stage process. Meaning that on successful completion of stage 1 students will seamlessly progress to stage 2, which is the first year of a bachelor’s degree.

This pathway in Business begins by helping students understand the basics needed in any business industry and a variety of intercultural situations. The business school has many opportunities to begin implementing ideas, even before students graduate with many industry contacts and ARU’s Big Pitch business idea competition.

By studying Business Management at ARU, students will get a thorough grounding in areas that underpin all successful organizations, including human resources, marketing and finance. They will also look at current issues in the world of business, such as globalization, sustainability and social change. As expected from a Business Management degree, there’s a focus on advanced management training too. The training is professionally accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), giving a competitive advantage in the jobs market.
