Master of Arts - Painting

The MA Painting program enables students to examine key issues in contemporary painting in how methods and materials shape an agenda in contemporary painting, whilst developing a critical relationship to its tradition.

The program is centered around the development of students' painting practice, and how it will encompass a range of diverse approaches to painting, encouraging them to experiment across different disciplines as their research develops and grows.

The program encourages students to explore the notion of painting as research and developing key questions and ideas in order to engage with the wider research culture in painting.
