4-Term Pathway - Extended Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Life Sciences - Continue to Integrated Master of Optometry (MOptom)

This one-year (4 term) programme offers successful students guaranteed progression* to Aston University. 

This programme gives guaranteed progression* to Year 1 of a wide range of undergraduate degrees.

This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at Aston University. All students who successfully complete the UFP are guaranteed progression* on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at Aston University. The UFP is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the UK.

This programme lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. 

English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if students need additional support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.
