Academic Accelerator - Bachelor of Science - Laboratory Sciences

The Division of Laboratory Sciences has two curricula leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science or Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Science. Within Laboratory Science, there are 2 additional pre-professional routes for pre-physician assistant or pre-medicine. These curricula prepare students for laboratory careers in fields such as clinical diagnostics, public health, bacteriology, environmental testing, industrial quality control, research and forensic science. Graduates within the medical laboratory science track will have the opportunity to become an American Society of Clinical Pathology. (ASCP) certified Medical Laboratory Scientist after successful completion of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited clinical internship and passing the national certifying examination.
