Advanced Master's Accelerator - Master of Education - English for Speakers of Other Languages

The Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms but who also want the benefit of English- language and academic training that will help them succeed in their post-graduate program. The program curriculum offers a balance of professional and MAP-exclusive courses. You will be equipped with the practical, degree-specific vocabulary and research skills needed to excel in your coursework. Advanced MAP students will be enrolled as full-time students within the Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program and will earn 6 credits toward their selected degree.

The English for Speakers of Other Languages M.Ed. program will help students strengthen their teaching abilities in K-12 settings. The program will prepare students to teach students who speak English as a second language. Auburn prepares teachers to meet the needs of students to ensure success. Students will have applied courses by experts in ESOL and a variety of different experiences to help them learn the best ways to teach. The M.Ed. degree leads to recommendation for certification.
