Advanced Master's Accelerator - Master of Science - Reading Education

The Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms but who also want the benefit of English- language and academic training that will help them succeed in their post-graduate program. The program curriculum offers a balance of professional and Master’s Accelerator exclusive courses. Students will be equipped with the practical, degree-specific vocabulary and research skills needed to excel in their coursework. Advanced Master’s Accelerator students will be enrolled as full-time students within the Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program and will earn 6 credits toward their selected degree.

The master’s program in Reading Education will prepare students for the challenging work of helping struggling readers. Working with faculty who helped develop the innovative Alabama Reading Initiative program, students will be ready to help all readers succeed. The M.S. non-certification program provides an interdisciplinary graduate-level education for community-based or international educators who do not wish to gain teacher certification/licensure in the United States.
