Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Science - Interior Design

The Extended Accelerator Program is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students a firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Auburn University campus and the Auburn, Alabama, area through its contextual curriculum. Upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.

Today's world is defined by global human issues, rapidly advancing technologies, and information that changes just as fast as it can be consumed. For future interior designers this means that, more than anything else, they must develop skills in critical and creative thinking. An emerging professional who can find and organize information, critically analyze aspects of a problem, and develop creative and practical solutions can excel in design-related fields.  But at the core of it all, design is still people-centered and designers must understand how to relate to people, uncover their needs, and shape the environment to enhance quality of life.
