Bachelor of Arts - Criminal Justice

At Augustana, criminal justice extends beyond the traditional approach by combining insight into the legal system with critical and ethical perspectives that enable graduates to be leaders in the world of law. Classes provide students with a deep understanding of the United States legal system, focusing on the laws, policies and procedures that govern it. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking through analyzing complex problems and systems, as well as making difficult, proactive decisions. Students develop a strong sense of ethics by going beyond the surface level of complex topics and looking at issues of fairness and justice.
