Foundation is an entry point that comes before the first year of university. By studying a foundation, students will gain a solid understanding of their chosen subject as well as the required skills for study at a UK university. Upon successful completion of foundation, they will progress directly to first year or to international year one
This degree explores the design, manufacture and maintenance of medical equipment and devices to support patients of all ages, from newborn to the elderly. Students will develop the skills and expertise needed to work in a range of specialist areas, including:
- Assistive technology
- Rehabilitation
- Medical imaging and robotics
- Cardiopulmonary engineering
- Orthopaedic implants
- Regenerative medicine/ tissue engineering.
