2-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Computing - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Sociology

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Discover what makes society tick, what the glue that holds it together is and the threats that could rip it apart; Sociology is rapidly becoming more relevant in contemporary world and as a result, the number and range of possible job opportunities have escalated. Develop skills suitable for a range of job opportunities in culture, media, teaching, research, human resources, and public and business services. On this course students will be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of each of the units. This will include senior academic staff,  technicians and research students. Students will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.
