3.5-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

This modern degree leads to a range of career paths. Differing from traditional approaches to English, students will study and analyse literary texts within the context of the media and learn to write creatively and professionally for a variety of audiences. On this course students will usually be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This will include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners and research students. Students will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.
