3-Term Pathway - Pre-Masters for Media and Communications - Continue to Master of Arts - Digital Effects

For entry to a postgraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

This truly international course will provide students with a strong theoretical and technical underpinning for the principal areas of study focusing on the integration of computer graphics into film footage. This course is industry-recognised by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen-based industries, and carries the ScreenSkills Select quality-mark which indicates courses best suited to prepare students for a career in the screen industries. On this course students will be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This will include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners, demonstrators, technicians and research students. Students will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.
