4-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science - Continue to Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Mechanical Engineering

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

This degree develops high-calibre engineers who are able to function both as an engineer and a technology leader in sectors such as aerospace, marine, automotive, alternative energy, oil and gas, and other high-tech industries. The BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in order to meet in part, the exemplifying academic benchmark requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
