Bachelor of Arts - History

Program Description

Students will gain a broad awareness of global historical contexts. This program is for students who want to study or teach history, or prepare for future studies.

Candidates will pay attention to how world societies have come to take their present forms and cultivate an appreciation for people whose histories can be radically different and at times surprisingly similar to their own. Students will learn to read thoughtfully, write skillfully, and think carefully—skills that will serve them well wherever they go. 

Briercrest’s BA History is provincially authorized as a university-level degree, making it a perfect first step to a career or to graduate studies.
