Master of Arts - Economics

The Department of Economics offers one program: Master of Arts in Economics. Their program is designed to prepare students for careers in the public or private sectors and gives a solid foundation for students who will pursue a doctorate degree. They specialize in areas of research that align with their recognized expert faculty members, including transportation and development economics. 

Students are encouraged to participate and take advantage of the sponsored events and organizations, including the Economics Research Seminar Series, the Economics Graduate Association (EGA), the California State University, Long Beach's Student Research Competition, the Annual Economics Poster Competition, and the Long Beach Regional Economic Forum.
