About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Theatre and Performance (W490)
Students can study Theatre and Performance at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), a performing arts degree developed in collaboration with the Marlowe Theatre, one of the country’s leading large-scale theatres, gaining direct experience and insights from the contemporary theatre sector.
With employability and creativity at the core of the theatre and performing arts course, students will acquire the professional and artistic skills necessary for roles within modern theatre and the broader creative sector, including performance, devising, programming, stage management, theatre production, digital technologies, and marketing and communications.
Students will be taught by a team of instructors who are either currently engaged professionally with the industry or have held significant roles within theatre and performing arts organizations. This expert team of tutors will focus on guiding students toward their future career aspirations while providing support for their creative roles.
Moreover, students will develop production skills and gain practical performance experience in specialist facilities, including a contemporary black box theatre equipped with industry-relevant technical resources. By delving into digital systems and new technologies while honing their theatre and performance skills, graduates will possess a well-rounded skill set that prepares them for a variety of careers.
