About Transfer Program - Undergraduate Pathway - Bachelor of Science - Nutrition

Nothing is more important to an individual's overall health than the food they put inside their bodies. With an incredible amount of access to instructors, and a global community on campus, students gain a unique perspective on how proper nutrition can make a difference anywhere in the world. Cape Breton University's modern facilities and inclusive culture give students the space and freedom to chart their own course in nutrition.

Additionally, the nutrition transfer option focuses on preparing students for entry into the third year of a BSc in Nutrition at a specified university. The first two years completed at Cape Breton University allow students to gain a background in the nutritional sciences by taking courses in biology, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, nutrition, statistics, the humanities, the social sciences and business.

Possible Career Paths:

  • Clinical dietetics
  • Food service administration
  • Community nutrition
  • Food product development
  • Pharmaceutical sales

*Please note: Cape Breton is implementing a Tuition Deposit Policy. The Tuition Deposit Policy will take effect for all applicants starting with the January 2024 application. Students who receive an offer to study at Cape Breton University will be required to make a nonrefundable tuition deposit of a minimum of $2,500 to confirm their seat in the program. If a student does not confirm their seat, CBU cannot guarantee a spot will be available at registration time.
