About Associate of Applied Science - Engineering Fundamentals

Students can take the next step towards a rewarding career by gaining the fundamental skills and knowledge needed in the engineering profession. Capitol's associate degree program (AAS) in Engineering Fundamentals will provide students with practical design experience, utilizing models and simulations. Students will also graduate with a solid foundation in math and physics.

In Engineering Fundamentals (EF), students will study basic engineering principles, math, physics, chemistry, and other technical skills. With an AAS in Engineering Fundamentals, they can move ahead to a bachelor's degree in engineering or begin working in the field right away. This program doesn't just teach students essential concepts; it gives hands-on practice in real-time situations. In this program students will be trained to become a skilled, knowledgeable, and versatile engineer who can make a strong contribution to any project. AAS in EF prepares students for automation, quality, and production positions in industries like defense, aerospace, automotive, chemical processing, healthcare, manufacturing, and mining. Potential employers include NASA, Festo, Rockwell Automation, Honeywell, GE, GM, Lockheed Martin, Intel, Texas Instruments, Boeing, IBM, Tesla, and many others.
