Integrated Masters - Master of Engineering - Architectural Engineering (H295) (Sandwich Year)

This accredited course offers individuals the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to become a proficient architectural engineer. By engaging in laboratory sessions, field trips, individual projects, and design classes, students will not only reinforce the concepts learned in lectures and tutorials but also enhance their practical abilities in surveying and design.

Participants will have the chance to select from a variety of genuine engineering problems and industry-oriented scenarios to work on independently or in collaboration with fellow student engineers from different disciplines. The collaborative nature of group work will simulate the dynamics of an engineering team, fostering the development of essential professional skills such as teamwork and effective communication. Additionally, accessible makerspace serves as a dedicated space for students to conceive, fabricate, and engage in collaborative endeavors.

Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to undertake a paid placement in a location of their choosing, even outside of the United Kingdom. This invaluable experience allows individuals to immerse themselves in a professional work environment and apply the skills they have acquired throughout their studies. Notably, previous students have successfully completed placements at esteemed organizations such as Arup, Mott MacDonald, and WSP.

The MEng degree program offers a platform for students to expand and fortify their knowledge in civil engineering. Moreover, participants will benefit from advanced instruction in design and management, as well as engage in a multidisciplinary engineering design project.
