Master of Science - Children’s Psychological Disorders

The MSc in Children's Psychological Disorders provides individuals with a comprehensive theoretical understanding of the psychological factors that contribute to and sustain emotional and behavioral issues in children. The program, taught by esteemed international experts, explores the emergence of mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and conduct disorder, during childhood. Participants will acquire extensive knowledge on how to effectively assess these conditions, enabling them to provide informed interventions and recommend appropriate treatments.

Situated at the specialized Centre for Human Development Science (CUCHDS), this program also equips students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to pursue fulfilling careers in child neurodevelopment, clinical psychology, or educational psychology.

Participants will undergo professional training in emotional, cognitive, and neurodevelopmental assessments for children, as well as learn about classification systems for childhood disorders and observational coding of child behavior and parent-child interaction.

Research training is also a significant aspect of this program, designed to enhance qualifications for admission into a PhD program in developmental psychopathology or doctoral training programs in Clinical or Educational Psychology.
